John Herbert retired on Jan. 24 as the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association (GOHBA) executive director. Herbert had been the GOHBA’s executive director for the past 15 years.

Event and communications manager Nicole McCallion will be the association’s interim executive director while the association searches for a permanent replacement. “Nicole will work with GOHBA staff, the board of directors and sub-committee members to ensure that the day to day operations of the association are managed effectively and efficiently,” board chair Josh Kardish said in a statement.

“The board would like to thank John Herbert for over 15 years of leadership,” Kardish wrote. “The association and its members have been effectively represented through this time and John’s hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated.”

Kardish wrote that the search for a new executive director “should be complete within the next few months.”
