The Ottawa Construction Association (OCA) has received a list of about 10 potential new headquarters sites from its real estate broker District Realty, and the association is reviewing the options to narrow down the selection process, says president John DeVries.

He says there is no rush or pressure to move from the current 196 Bronson St. headquarters, sold in 2013 to Toronto based condo developer Brian Lamb’s organization. The association has been leasing back the space since then.

Last year, the association selected a site to build its new headquarters in the Auriga Dr. area, but the deal fell through at the due diligence/review stage. DeVries says that site is not on the list for consideration now.

He said he believes Lamb is in no rush to develop the OCA site, at least until the local condo market improves.

DeVries says the association expects to narrow down its selection choice in the fall.
