The Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association (GOHBA) changed the setting of its February dinner meeting from the usual banquet hall to Scotia Bank Place – and the evening’s focus shifted from provincial and local political concerns to whether the Sens would win that evening.
Ottawa prevailed, with a 4-3 win over Buffalo. Ontario Home Builders Association president Leith Moore abbreviated his presentation, reflecting the challenging acoustics in the fourth-level suite and the fact that members were more interested (in this context) in the meal, networking, and hockey than challenging provincial policy and political issues.
Regardless, everyone enjoyed the evening.
