CRI Council appoints new board members

The Construction Resources Initiatives (CRI) Council has changed its governance structure “for an international transitional board of directors, to take us from a voluntary based to a world-class support organization.”

Nominees selected by an independent nominations committee include:

Building: Andres Bernal, managing director, sustainability, Ellis Don, Toronto;

Design and management: Marie-Andree Roy, Architect, Bernard Benoit Project Management, Ottawa;

Project delivery and infrastructure: Teno A. West, partner, Pannome Lopes Devereaux & West LLC, municipal infrastructure team, White plains, NY;

Research:  Dr Mark Gorgolewski, department of architectural science, Ryerson University, Toronto;

Ethics, sustainability, technology and civil society: Dr Peter Denton, consultant, author and professor, Winnipeg, Manitoba;

Industry association:  Joel Rochefort, marketing manager, Canadian Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (CPCI), Ottawa;

Real property: Kristen Macken, senior vice-president, Colliers International, San Jose, California;

International affairs: Peter Laybourn, CEO, International-Synergies, Birmingham, UK;

Urban development resource/waste management and other future portfolios: Vacant, seeking leadership from Indo-China, EU and developing country.
