The chair of Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa (HabitatGO) has written a note to Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA) members to encourage their involvement in the HabitatGO 2019 build program.

“Many of you will recall, and many of you participated in, the Blitz Build that was completed during 2014,” wrote Bob Ridley, who also is a previous GOHBA president. “The Blitz Build was a successful partnership between GOHBA, Algonquin College and HabitatGO that resulted in a very positive experience for all participants, a significant contribution to the local community and great publicity for all of those involved.”

“Many people have approached me and expressed their interest in again partnering in a build project to benefit the local community through HabitatGO, and therefore I am soliciting your interest in being involved,” he added. “Once we have a sense of the interest level we will work together to identify how best to pursue this common goal with the objective of participating in the 2019 HabitatGO build program.”

Ridley also wrote to encourage attendance at Habitat GO’s thirteenth annual Steel Toes and Stilettos Gala on Nov. 3. For more information, see www.habitatgo.com/gala.

He asked readers to contact him directly at quion51@gmail.com or by phoning (613) 864-5792.
