Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) Ottawa members enjoyed an evening of networking and community at the chapter’s annual Connections Cafe evening Nov. 1, where Ottawa Citizen/Sun reporter Matthew Pearson described his day-long walking journey from end to end of the new Confederation Line – except for the tunnel portion.

Pearson explained city and Rideau Transit Group officials have enforced a tight “no access” policy for any media visits at the $2.2 billion project, except in highly scripted “official” events.

The annual Algonquin College event is one of the interdisciplinary group’s educational and social programs. CSC includes members from the architectural, engineering, contracting, government and building supplies communities and provides training and accreditation programs for the individuals who either write or influence the AEC project documentation process.
