The City of Ottawa reported $200.4 million in building permits in March. The 533 issued permits reflected a significant increase from the same month in 2015 ($144.2 million) but the total is slightly lower than in March 2014 ($213.9 million).
The biggest permit, at $19,734,491, for a Brigil condominium at 460 St. Laurent Blvd. is for the construction of a 13 storey mixed use building with four stories of underground parking.

The city records indicate three building permits each valued at $16,352,260 have been issued for the Lyon Light Rail Transit station at 303, 315 and 336 Queen St., “excluding west entrance”.
EllisDon has been issued a $14 million building permit for exterior alterations (re-glazing/curtain wall) at the former Nortel buildings at 3500 Carling Ave., to be occupied by the Department of National Defence.

There also is an $11,554,470 building permit to build the Findley Creek Elementary School at 4180 Kelly Farm Dr.
