Darrin Alberty will lead the National Capital Heavy Construction Association (NCHCA) as its president for the 2020/21 year.
The new executive would normally take office at the association’s annual general meeting in March, but that event had to be cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The meeting will be rescheduled for the fall, the association says.
Other NCHCA executive members include:
- 1st vice-president – Steve McEachen, Aecon Construction Ontario East Ltd.
- 2nd vice-president and treasurer – Paul Lemire, C.A.C.E. Construction (1991) Ltd.
- Past president – Stephen Goodman, GEMTEC Consulting Engineers and Scientists Limited
In a farewell message, Goodman wrote: “April is upon us which means that although I will continue to serve on the NCHCA executive committee and board, my term as president is complete. I feel very honoured to have been the president of such a strong association and I am very proud of what we have accomplished in the last year.
“I would like to sincerely thank past president, Stephen Turner and treasurer, Jim Flegg for their dedication and support as their term on the NCHCA executive comes to an end.”
