Zibi: Jonathan Westeinde to share story behind sustainable project at Nov. 4 event

Construction Specifications Canada (CSC)’s Ottawa chapter has scheduled Nov. 4 event to explore and provide insights on Windmill Development’s Zibi project, with a focus on “People + Planet + Profit.”

Jonathan Westeinde will outline some of the pioneering sustainable developer’s projects, inspire the construction community and share the journey in “building communities and optimizing the use of land, water, air, energy and building materials towards a goal of zero ecological footprint buildings,” CSC chapter chair Sonia Zouari said in the announcement.

Presentations will focus on:

  • How the Zibi project adopts the One Planet Living guiding principles;
  • The inclusive approach taken in consulting with the public;
  • The collaborative and innovative approach and various partnerships;
  • Elaborate on the district energy system approach and renewables.

Ottawa Coun. David Chernushenco will join the discussion.  There will be other invited guests/participants.
