The City of Ottawa is asking residents for their input on the redesign of the Mooney’s Bay Beach pavilion. The pavilion, which was built in 1965, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The city says it is looking to shape the future of the building through public consultations.
In 2018, the city held its first round of consultations, asking residents if the pavilion should be renovated or replaced. The city states that feedback shaped two design concepts for the preferred replacement building.
The city is preparing a feasibility study for replacing the pavilion. Choose between a one-story and two-story option. Residents can view two design concepts and provide feedback at engage.ottawa.ca/mooneys_pavilion until May 17.
An in-person consultation session will also be held on May 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Jim Durrell Recreation Centre at 1265 Walkley Rd.
