Infrastructure Ontario and Quinte Health have awarded a contract to M. Sullivan & Son Limited to continue to work on the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Site Redevelopment Project.

An extensive evaluation process was launched in March 2023 and four companies were shortlisted for the project in April including M. Sullivan, Ledcor Construction Limited, Pomerleau Inc. and Quinte Care Partners.

“With an approved contract for M. Sullivan and Son Limited to build the new Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, we’ve reached the finish line after a long journey together. Our government is turning its promise into action,” said Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith.” I’m looking forward to seeing shovels in the ground this summer on this state-of-the-art health care facility.

“Congratulations to Quinte Health and the entire community on your unwavering commitment to this project.”

The new hospital will be a leading, cutting-edge health care facility designed to meet the needs of the local community now and for years to come. The new facility will feature improved equipment and facilities including a 24-hour emergency department, helipad, surgical suite, dialysis unit and other specializations. Construction is expected to begin in summer 2024.
