The City of Ottawa is preparing for the next step of the Lansdowne 2.0 project, which will include a new event centre. As part of the project, the city needs to hear from residents about what they want to see included in the new event centre.

The city is hosting two public meetings about the event centre site plan. The first meeting will be held on June 18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the TD Arena. The second meeting will take place on Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lansdowne Farmers Market booth.

Residents can also email the city about their feedback on the event centre site plan by emailing The city said that once it has collected feedback from residents, it will publish a draft site plan on DevApps and on Engage Ottawa, which is a website that allows residents to share their feedback on city plans.

“As the city and its partners move ahead with a detailed design, staff will report to Council later next year on the final package of approvals, including the final construction price, final air rights value and any required funding strategy amendments prior to construction,” the city statement says.
