The 2025 Passive House Canada Conference has been scheduled for May 5 to 7 in Ottawa.

The seventh annual conference with the theme “Building Our Low Carbon Future” will dive  “deep into the vital issues of climate change, health, and innovation in building practices,” the organization says.

“This year’s annual conference will consider how ‘low-carbon’ can convey a broader concept that encompasses a range of strategies and practices aimed at reducing carbon emissions, making it accessible to a wider audience, including policymakers, builders, and consumers who may not be familiar with specific certification standards like Passive House,” the association says on its conference website.

“This conference will also highlight the challenges that are in front of us. Climate Change, Health and Wellness, Retrofits, Innovation and Affordability will be at the forefront of the discussions. We’re here to drive policy and collaborations, and support the successful adoption of resilient, low-carbon buildings.”

Passive House Canada says its Call for Committee is now open and sponsorships became available starting today (Nov. 4). The Call for Speakers will be sent out mid-November.
