Trinity Development Group is planning to build three massive residential towers which, according to published reports, will include 59 and 55-floor buildings linked with an 11-storey podium with retail, parking and office space. There will also be a third, 50-story high rise above a four-floor office and retail podium.
Trinity Station, with a published address of 900 Albert St., will be located at at the southwest corner of Albert St. and City Centre Ave. (with a direct link to Bayview Light Rail Transit (LRT)/O-Train Station), the developer says.
The project would include 1,632 residential units, 187,750 sq. ft. of office space and 115,000 sq. ft. of retail space.
“At the crossroads of convenience, 900 Albert St. is perfectly situated near the newly renovated Bayview Station; the only transfer point between the Confederation LRT Line and the Trillium Line,” Trinity says on its website. “Drawing people and business from key downtown neighbourhoods in Ottawa, such as Hintonburg, Mechanicsville, Lebreton Flats, Little Italy and Chinatown, this site features access to major recreation trails along the Ottawa River, key landmarks and easy passage to downtown.”
Trinity says it hopes the site will be ready for occupancy by 2019. A construction start date has not been announced.
