Guests braved a late-winter snow storm on March 19 to visit the new Mondeau bathroom and kitchen showroom – experiencing a “new concept, new experience” at 1282 Algoma Rd.
“We visited the most advanced interior design showrooms on the planet,” said Marco Bélanger, Mondeau’s director, operations and development. “With our grand opening, we’re using those preeminent showroom characteristics to feature the best products, and to elevate bathroom and kitchen design to a new level here in the National
Mondeau’s new flagship showroom is the largest of its kind in Eastern Ontario, the company says. Featuring fully installed bathroom and kitchen fixtures, the showroom enables customers to see the signature products in action. The showroom also incorporates an ultra-modern designers’ centre with display screens and Wi-Fi access—an ideal place for builders, designers and architects to meet clients and discuss projects.
“We set out to make the interior design shopping experience as simple, enjoyable and productive as possible,” Bélanger said. “Our new showroom not only offers the widest selection of products, it’s also where Mondeau will host seminars. Homeowners, builders and installers will be able to learn about cutting edge bathroom and kitchen technologies.”
The event attracted a “who’s who” of Ottawa’s construction and design community as well as Ottawa mayor Jim Watson.
Mondeau has provided kitchen and bathroom resources since the late 1990s, but the company’s pedigree is much deeper, the company said in a news release. “Mondeau is a proud division of Boone Plumbing, an industry leader that has served the National Capital Region with distinction since 1937. Mondeau was formed to provide homeowners and design, construction and renovation professionals with the highest level of bathroom and kitchen expertise and product selection. Today, all three convenient Mondeau locations feature a Boone store, ensuring customers have immediate access not only to the most skilled, courteous and knowledgeable staff, but also to every conceivable product, tool and accessory.”
