Construction is almost complete on Lansdowne Park in the City of Ottawa.

Lansdowne Park is a 40-acre sports, exhibition and entertainment facility in Ottawa, Ontario. The park, owned by the City of Ottawa, is being revitalized by Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG). It will have a combined arena/stadium seating capacity of 34,000 and will be Ottawa’s largest sports and entertainment venue.

The Lansdowne, construction on which started in October 2012, includes an 18-acre urban park, TD Place stadium and arena, a retail area and residences.

The Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG) agreed to rename Lansdowne Park. OSEG signed an agreement with TD Bank Group under which TD Bank will serve as the official naming rights sponsor of the sporting/concert areas, including stadium and arena.

OSEG, which is behind the Ottawa’s new Canadian Football League and North American Soccer League franchises, will soon need to hire 200 to 300 part-time events staff to handle everything from serving beer to greeting fans, Ottawa Lansdowne Park reported in April.
