Claude DesRosiers will retire as Boone Plumbing and Heating Supply‘s vice-president and general manager after 45 years with the organization, 30 of them as part of the Deschenes Group (GDI).

Effective July 3, Réjean (Joe) Desjardins will be DesRosiers’ successor. Desjardins will report to Sylvain Vachon, GDI’s vice-president of operations.

“Over the course of my career at Boone, I’ve developed many cherished relationships with clients and have enjoyed witnessing them grow their businesses and achieving their own success, leaving an indelible mark on the Ottawa landscape,” DesRosiers said in a statement. “I am grateful for each and every one of them for prompting us to evolve with them and grow to what Boone is today.”

Desjardins joined Boone in 1982 and held several positions with increased responsibilities over the years. He was promoted to operations manager in 1995, and the statement say he “has been involved in all major projects supporting Boone’s continuous growth and operational excellence.”

“In an ever-changing market, the importance of working closely with our clients and understanding the challenges they face is crucial to us in ensuring that we continue to surpass their needs and help them attain their own success,” he said.

DesRosiers looks forward to spending more time with his family, travelling with his wife Francine and continuing to volunteer on the board of governors of The Ottawa Hospital, where he sits on several committees.
