The Ottawa Construction Association (OCA) has scheduled its first “Meet the GCs (General Contractors)” event for May 17.
“’Meet the GC’ is a new event designed to support meaningful connections between our general contractor members and our trade contractors, manufacturer and suppliers and Industry service providers,” the association says on its website. “This event will be the first of a series that focus on networking and connections of value for everyone who attends.”
During the program at the OCA’s Antares Drive offices, each general contractor will be invited to the stage to give a brief two to three minute summary of their firm, current and upcoming projects and expectations for business in the year ahead. “This will be followed by networking opportunities.”
“These events will be hosted multiple times across the calendar year and each date brings new GC’s that will vary from the small, mid-size and large,” the OCA says. The event is restricted to OCA members.
Participating general contractors include: ASCO Construction Ltd., Chandos Construction, EBC Inc., McDonald Brothers Construction Inc., Ron Eastern Construction Ltd. and Waterdon Construction Limited,
