Lawyer Debbie Belanger will explain the construction industry’s project delivery models and their advantages and challenges at a special Construction Specifications Canada Ottawa Chapter program on May 9.
Belanger, a partner with Nelligan O’Brien Payne, and leader of the Real Estate and Development practice group, will provide insights into fixed price, cost plus, construction management, construction management at risk, design build and design build assist models.
As well, she will explore overriding principles including:
• The duty of good faith; • subcontractors; • conversion to fixed price;
• occupational health and safety;
• change orders; and
• dispute resolution.
