Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) Ottawa chapter executives gathered on June 24 and started with a visioning session of CSC Ottawa. Great program ideas, combining interdisciplinary education, entertainment and networking for the upcoming year were discussed.
Activities planned include a September golf tournament on September 15th at Emerald links and a September kick off meeting family event open to members, exact date and details are still to be determined.
CSC courses in Principles of Construction Documentation, Specification Writing and Construction Contract Administration will be launched in the fall.
Other events under consideration include programs on effective collaboration between specification editors and technical representatives, the pitfalls of construction contract administration, evolving CCDC contracts, lean construction and a workshop on CLT (cross-laminated timber)…
“We’re lining up venues and speakers and our goal is to have an event each month through the year,” says chapter chair Sonia Zouari.
