The City of Ottawa is planning a new recreational facility in the spring of 2015 as part of its redevelopment of Laroche Park.

The project, Sens RINK (Recreational Investments in Neighbourhood for Kids), is located between the Ottawa River and the communities of Mechanicsville, Hintonburg and West Centretown. The Ottawa Senators Foundation and Trinity Development Foundation are supporting the project.

The Sens RINK at Laroche Park will provide access to recreational programs and activities for hundreds of children and youth. Managed by the City of Ottawa, the Sens RINK Project’s recreational spaces will offer free year-round sporting programs and will serve as a social hub for local families.

The Ottawa Senators Foundation has committed to building 20 outdoor rinks in neighbourhoods in Ottawa, Gatineau and the surrounding regions. The construction of the Sens RINK at Laroche Park will be the fourth – in Ottawa alone – of the 20 rink commitment.
