Several GOHBA Renovators’ Council members volunteered at a booth at the January Home Renovations Show and council chair Norm Lecuyer says: “The time was well-spent and we received a lot of encouraging feedback from people.”
The three-day show from Jan. 23 to 25 at the EY centre will be different next year. The EY Centre has booked the time slot previously used by Caneast Shows to another show operator. Details of where and when 2016 show (or shows, if the new show manager also holds a renovations show at the EY Centre) haven’t been released yet.
However, Ottawa Renovates magazine, published in co-operation with the GOHBA Renovators’ Council, will continue its twice-a-year publishing schedule, with the next issue due out this spring.
Volunteers handed out remaining copies of the magazine’s fall issue at the show – the bulk of the 30,000 copies are circulated with the Ottawa Citizen in neighbourhoods most likely to be interested in renovations.
Both the magazine and the renovation show display featured the advantages of working with RenoMark renovators – and council members explained to renovation show visitors how they could be confident in working with council members and RenoMark renovators.
